About this grant

A total of £20 million is available through six funding streams for charities, community interest companies, co-operative societies and community benefit societies. Eligible projects support households at risk of cold homes and high energy bills, develop innovative domestic energy products and services, or reduce carbon emissions. Since 2018, the scheme has funded over 761 projects supporting more than 900,000 households. The funding is generated from voluntary payments collected by Ofgem's enforcement and compliance work from companies that may have breached its rules.
